On the Topic of Infinity.

Okay, so when I was taking algebra back in high school, I came across something that I just couldn't agree with my teacher on.
The lesson was about dividing by "x". My teacher said that "x" couldn't equal zero if it was in the denominator because it is impossible to divide something by zero.
Well I think that it is completely fine to divide by zero. The only catch is that the equation would equal ∞, because zero will never stop going into any number. And I know that wouldn't be very helpful in "real" situations. But I don't see why they just completely rule it out.
Also math doesn't always have to end with a solid number. As an example: 10 divided by 3 equals 3.33333333...... where the 3 never stops going into 10 to equal 3. And the rules are perfectly fine with equations like that even though they will never end.
Anyway that's just a thought that I wanted to share with you all. Thanks for reading.
  Peace out.

The Sound That Moves Us

 Music is fascinating isn't it?
If you think about it music is part of everything we do. We wake up to music played on our alarm clocks, we listen to it in the car, we listen to it while we surf the internet, it's played in stores, it's played throughout movies, religions use music as praise to their gods and we even sing in the shower or if we are home alone. Well at least I'll admit to that last part...
Not only is music a big part of our lives, it can also manipulate our emotions. Sometimes to a degree that we don't even realize. For instance, during a movie they will play the mood music to make the feelings conveyed more prominent. But studies also show that listening to certain types of music can even alter the way you think and process information.
Now I'm not going to start bashing any certain type of music. As you can tell from my playlist on the side of this blog I have somewhat of an eclectic taste. I do like most kinds of music but I have to say that not everything we call "music" really is..... but that's a topic for a different time.
What I'd like to talk about right now is why? Why is music so important? Why does it alter our feelings and thoughts?
Well music is like a very complex language. We speak this language by either singing certain notes or playing them on an instrument. We read it by looking at music sheets and then interpreting it. But there is one thing that makes this language different from all others. It can be understood by everyone. Even if someone speaks a completely different language than you, all you have to do to get them to understand how you feel about something is to play a few notes and they will know.
Now I know that there is so much more that could be said about this topic. We have barely just scratched the surface on how powerful music can be. But I encourage you to search the internet for some studies on it. They can be very interesting and thought provoking.
Thanks for reading and peace out.

I'm back?!?!?!?!

Hey internet! Get ready for a cliche post talking about what I'm gonna do!
Just thought that I would let you all know that I'm going to try to start posting some stuff soon. When I first started this blog I kinda just did it to "join in" with everyone else. But I (obviously) was never really into it. Now I think I have some decent ideas of what I can write about............ it will most likely be a bunch of random stuff though, so hopefully you'll enjoy it anyway.
 Peace out.
